San Diego Branch Presents

=AESouthern California RSCDS adults--one by one, pairs, &=20
groups--friendly folk one & all
=AEA weekend of relaxation, fresh air, & camaraderie
=AECamp Stevens, Julian-in the Cuyamaca Mountains one hour northeast of San=20
=AENovember 10-12, 2000
=AEBecause we all need a "weekend away from it all" to be as active or=20
as lazy as we like!

Spend an autumn weekend in the forested mountains of Julian at the=20
idyllic cabins and nature reserve of Camp Stevens. We will have our=20
headquarters at Bishop's Lodge, which houses 24 in dormitory style,=20
with central men's and women's bathrooms and a "great room" with a=20
fireplace suitable for our communal activities. We also will use St.=20
Paul's Cabin, which houses eight men in bunk bed style. The weekend=20
is largely "what you will"-as active or relaxed as you like it-join=20
in jigsaw puzzles, bridge, cribbage, Taboo, Scrabble-or settle into a=20
comfy chair to read your best-seller or college textbook. Hikers can=20
enjoy a rigorous or gentle exploration of the old mines, mountains,=20
and vistas nearby. Julian's famous apple pie ala mode is a must=20
during the weekend. You may choose to take part in a ceilidh as well=20
as a specialty dance class on Saturday. You'll need to pack a=20
sleeping bag, layers of informal clothes, towels, pillow, toiletries,=20
dance shoes, snacks and liquid refreshments of your choice, books,=20
games, etc.

The Julian weekend is a bargain, sure to please your "Scots purse."=20
You'll have two nights lodging plus five meals, all for $75 per=20
person for Bishop's and $70 per person for St. Paul's (preferences=20
are noted, though we may need to "adjust" according to demand).=20
Friday soup and sandwich dinner is an additional $5 if you arrive=20
before 7 p.m.
