Every reference I have, Napier, TACNotes, the most recent RSCDS Bulletin,
the Music Makars' "Jig for Joy" album, has the title spelled "Cadgers in
the Canongate". However, my RSCDS publication, which is the pocket book
I've had for at least 15 years, no date on it that I can see, has
"Cadgers in the Cannongate" for dance and tune. One "n" seems right to
me. Can I get a definitive ruling on this as it is on our Unicoi 2000
program - we lucked out, I see, in having three of the RSCDS suggested
core dances for the year 2000 on the programs, Cadgers, De'il Amang the
Tailors and Gang the Same Gate, can't take any credit, sheer
happenstance.
