Hello All,
Long sets are OK is English country dance, except where the first couples have all the
fun, and second couples hardly get to change roles to being first couples. But
Scottish country dance is generally more energetic, and being first couple even three
times can be a bit much. It's the only dancing I do where I am happy and relieved to
stand and catch my breath for a while. You wanna do Red House (Scottish style) all
the way down the long set -- or all the way up? I sure don't.

Happy (Balanced) Dancing,
