If Andrew Patterson meant what I think he meant, then he took the thought
from my fingers.
What is so very wrong with doing "two couple dances" (known as "duple
minor" elsewhere) the way they were intended to be done, ie in long sets? The
78 rpm record, whose time limitations in large part generated the four couple
set, has now been dead for over forty years!
The Long Set or Great Set is a very good social experience.
