Goes there a Dancer with Soul so dead who never to himself hath said,
"Oh, for a sprung wood floor, how much I'd give....."?

Does any SCD group in the world NOT have a floor problem? If so, how
did you manage? Isn't it time we raise our collective voice, perhaps
along with other dance groups in a missionary effort to save the
World(and our own feet, etc....) and effectively move the powers to
grant us wholesome floors????

All of this is very much on my Monday mind as I take a brief "Strathspey
Break" here at the office, especially, as I return to reality after the
very best SCD Week End I have ever attended in my first 15 years of
RSCDS exposure.

Stone Mountain Week End is always exhilarating, and each year manages to
top the previous year. And each year I feel eternally grateful for the
organization of The Atlanta Branch and the positive energy they exude to
"Keep This Good Stuff Going". But the floors are usually a problem,
actually, a BIG PROBLEM!!!! IMHO..... Through no fault of the
organizers. How is it that Atlanta cannot provide good, affordable
floors??? But, since it seems to be a fairly universal problem, why
don't we put our brilliant, creative minds together and actively pursue
an effective course of action that will solve this silly situation!!!
All we need is a Dancing Modern-Day Andrew Carnegie to seed sprung wood
floors around the globe.. Where is She?
