G'Day all,

Too late, John, it's already been done.
At the Australian Winter School in Sydney in 1995, Bill Zobel was teachin=
g
a dance with interlocking reels of four, which were referred to as 'banan=
a
reels'. There were some Queenslanders in the class who told him that they=
were 'banana-benders', so he wrote a dance called 'The Banana-benders',
including banana reels and Muriel Johnstone wrote a tune for it.
As far as I know, it has only been published in the Winter School Daily
news sheet in 1995, but if you want a copy, I could send it to you.
