Is anyone aware of Scottish Country Dancing being an
accepted physical education activity (for credit) anywhere
in the U.S. (elementary, high, college)?

1) SCD was part of our routine "Gym" programme at Paisley Grammar
School (Scotland) in the 1940s.
2) Lexington High School (Mass., USA) in the late 1960s allowed
students to attend Concord RSCDS group (Allan and Lydia Smith
teachers) for phys ed. credit. We got some wonderful young dancers
out of that scheme, and some great parents were entrained with them.
I believe that's how Nancy and Ed Rawson started.
