If briefs or walk throughs are necessary - why not! Isn't the purpose of =
a Scottish Social Dance for everyone who wants to dance, gets to dance?=20

There are so many dances out there that are fun to do, there is no way a =
person can keep them all straight in her head - and everyone has said =
"does [this dance] start with a cross or a turn?"

Of course the evening should be kept moving, the band should not be =
sitting around waiting unnecessarily, but if a group is holding a dance =
and inviting everyone - make sure everyone is welcome to do the dances!

(And for those of you who are going to be picky - yes, I do agree that =
sometimes beginning dancers should be discouraged from participating in =
the more difficult dances - but that's a different issue)
