You could invest in a _cheap_ scanner! Seriously, they're down to a little
over a $100USD and they plug into your parallel port. Another idea: if you
have a fax modem, you can use a fax machine as a scanner by faxing the
diagram to your computer. Finally, you could mail the diagram to someone who
does have a scanner and have them email the result back to you. (I have to
believe that you could find someone closer to you than California, but I'd
be happy to do it if not.)
