1 For the Preliminary Test there are 12 prescribed dances - 3 reels, 3 jigs and 6 strathspeys.
Select the one reel or jig and the one strathspey which you found the most difficult to dance proficiently. State what the difficulties were and explain how you overcame the difficulties.

2 Deportment, Handing, Phrasing, Rhythm, Set Management (team work), Sociability, Technique (accuracy of footwork). Place these seven elements in what you consider to be the order of importance in Scottish Country Dancing and write three or four paragraphs explaining your reasons.
